- Collect and manage customer requirements for negotiation and compliance traceability.
- Identify and propose requirement changes to customers according to the capability of A123 designs.
- Develop system architecture and behavioral design solutions according to customer requirements.
- Review and approve system test cases to ensure system design coverage.
- Analyze internal test failures to determine root cause and mitigation action.
- Re-create customer reported issues to determine root cause and mitigation action.
- Follow the A123 development process and tool chain implementation to support the development quality goals.
- BSEE and 4 years of embedded systems design experience in the automotive/aerospace/industrial machine domains
- Experience with control systems or mechatronic systems highly desired
- Experience with SysML and UML is highly desired.
- Experience with Electric Vehicles and/or low voltage / high voltage batteries highly desired
- Experience in handling tools like DOORS and Rhapsody is highly desired.
- Working knowledge of CAE tools such as Vector CANAlyzer and MatLab/Simulink
- Ability to react to project adjustments promptly and efficiently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment.
- Tier 1 supplier experience a plus
- Fast-paced, exciting development environment
- Travel 10% or less.
